Henderson Walk subdivision was a "new concept" in 1982 when large homes on small low maintenance lots were introduced to the metro Atlanta housing market. Now known as cluster home communities, Henderson Walk met some resistance from the community who had preconceived notions about small lots in new home developments. Once the housing product was finished, consumers began to realize the small low maintenance lot did not affect the value of the home. Buyers were actually looking for a larger, full size home but wanted to give up the headaches of maintaining large lawns and landscaping.

Embry Hills has all the shopping, restaurants and shopping needed to make life easy and convenient for Henderson Walk residents. Kroger, The Loop restaurant, Angies Petals Florist, Moes, Bank of America, gas stations, S&S cafeteria and others are just steps away. There are also nearby houses of worship including Holy Cross Catholic and Embry Hills United Methodist Church.
