Michelle's hometown is New Bern, North Carolina (New Bern is the gateway to the Outer Banks). Michelle graduated from Craven College and worked her way through college in retail and merchandizing shops.
After moving to Atlanta and enrolling at Emory University's Goizueta School of Business, Michelle worked part time as an interior design assistant at Nancy Calhoun Designs in Roswell Georgia.
Later, Michelle worked at Emory University School of Medicine in the Department of Pathology while taking classes in Emory's Rollins School of Public Health. She was also co-owner of Papa Nick's Restaurant in Virginia Highlands and began renovating homes in the Morningside/Virginia Highlands area.
Admiration of design and restoration began at an early age for Michelle as she grew up in a coastal Colonial small town. Love of historic preservation has carried through to her present day home renovations, staging and design
In 2004 Michelle was licensed as a real estate salesperson and joined RE/MAX Greater Atlanta. In 2007 Michelle joined the English Team at RE/Max Executives as a buyer specialist.
Michelle has two lovely teen age daughters and is married to Greg Smith. Michelle and Greg live in Cobb County and enjoy an active lifestyle section hiking the Appalachian Trail, backpacking, cycling and cooking. Michelle's favorite TV shows are on The Food Network or HGTV and a good book is always close in hand. Michelle and Greg enjoy casual dining and meeting the restaurant owners when they can. Michelle's car brakes for the "mom and pop" places around metro Atlanta.
