Country Club of The South on The Auction Block for January 2010
It was the most prestigious golf course development of its time, but Country Club of the South has hit hard times. The Atlanta Journal and Constitution reports the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course, clubhouse and other facilities are on the auction block for January 5, 2010.
Country Club of the South is located in North Fulton County of Metro Atlanta and is a gated residential community of million dollar plus homes. Entertainers, professional athletes and "rich" people live there. The 700 private homes are not on the auction block, but the centerpiece of the development will be subject to a foreclosure auction on January 5th according to general manager Michael Ryan.
