April 30 Deadline for Federal Tax Credit: Buy An Atlanta Georgia Home

If you are planning to take advantage of the $8,000 tac credit to buy an Atlanta Georgia home, you must be UNDER CONTRACT by April 30, 2010.  You have less than two weeks left to identify a home and work out a purchase and sale agreement with the seller.

The $8,000 Federal Tax credit requires you to have a binding purchase and sale agreement by April 30 and then you have to close the sale in 60 days.  But May 1 will not work for the purchase and sale agreement.  BOTH buyer and seller will have to sign the purchase and sale agreement by midnight on April 30th.

Home Buyers: can you afford to pass up on a $8,000 handout from Uncle Sam!  Most real estate professionals and economists expect this to be the last of the incentives to spur growth in the housing sector of our economy.  There are lots of houses to choose from on the market now.  And sellers are also motivated to meet the April 30th deadline.
